Bird Poop & All

makes me happy.

A typically evening around here, after the girls are in bed, usually involves any number of the follow activities...

  *  love making
  *  sun saluting
  *  couch sitting
  *  music listening
  *  card playing
  *  laundry folding
  *  tv watching
  *  web surfer
  *  blog writing

It's no coincidence that blog writing appears at the bottom of that list.

It's not that I don't want to blog.  I do!  I very much do.

It's just by the time we get to that couch sitting, blog writing stage of the evening, my brain is spent and I have no recollection of the brief moment of  brilliance that came to me 8 hours ago while mashing up avocados, humming the Bubble Guppies, and thinking "Oh - I should blog about that."

Blank.  Totally blank.

So instead, I don't blog, or I blog about not having anything charming to blog about.

Which simply is what it is.

makes me happy.

Yes, we seem to have some sort of serious My Morning Jacket addiction.

So no, it was not a reach to assume that Jim James' (lead singer of MMJ) solo album would appeal to us.

It did.

As did his live performance at The Phoenix.

Thrilling as always.

Hitting The Bloom

makes me happy.

Taking photos of the munchkins in High Park while the Cherry Blossoms bloom is...

all too easy.

Jays vs Yankees

makes me happy.

I was also lucky enough to get out with Kelly, Deb, and many others, to celebrate Sammy's birthday on the 19th.

Off to the ball game we went!

Not the usual warm and sunny April 19th I've become accustomed to.

Nope, this one was chilly and WINDY!

But nothing these two, good ol' Canadian girls can't handle.

As easy and wonderful as it is to stay home in my pjs on nights I'm not working,

seeing these smiles makes pulling together half-a-look totally worthwhile.

makes me happy.

You know we have a daughter named Stevie, right?

Enough said.

Stevie's 1st Birthday

makes me happy.

I've got lots I'd like to add to this little record of our life here on TBLE and am thrilled that I'm getting back at it.

Over the weekend our Stevie turned 1!

The past year with her has been pure joy and an afternoon party with her cousins was the perfect celebration.
